Our 30 Mixed Teams came together at the Bridges at Claresholm Golf Club to support the Claresholm & District Health Foundation and our local healthcare for the 2nd Annual Golf Tournament.
It was a hot, beautiful day with teams loading their carts, purchasing Mulligan’s and 50/50 tickets before teeing off at 10AM. With two chances at our $10,000 Hole In One on holes 8 (ATB Financial & Jeana Arkes) & 17 (Servus Credit Union & Foundation Coordinator Chantel Scott), one of our lucky golfers landed the perfect shot on 17! Dean Shielke and his team were heard throughout the course with their shouts of astonishment and excitement! It was their 6th hole of the morning, just around 11AM and boy was that a way to start the tournament! Dean immediately started calling people and was still smiling by the end of the day.
Returning to the clubhouse around 4pm to relax, teams, conversated and bid on silent auction items. With a tie for 1st, our two top teams headed out for a tee off as golfers watched from the patio deck. A delicious roast beef supper was served around 5pm followed by prizes, draws and silent auction items being announced. Our 50/50 winner was Dylan Rhodes, taking home $642.50!

A massive shout out and thanks to Lyle & Staff – The Bridges at Claresholm Golf Club for taking registration, organizing all our golfers’ needs and prizes for the tournament. To Darryl & Staff – The Clubhouse at Claresholm Golf Club for keeping our teams hydrated and feed, it was a busy and big undertaking as well as for donating the extra special “Birdie Juice” on Hole 17. Thanks to our MC & co-planner Greg Martin, our muscle Andrew Morkin & Kale Tornquist for helping to pick up, set up and take down the tents, water tub, sponsorship signs, and anything else that needed doing. UFA Farm Store graciously donated the use of a plastic water tub for our bottles of water and ice on Hole 1.
