The Man Van, Palliative Care Team, Claresholm FCSS and the Foundation gathered in Amundsen Park to raise awareness in men’s health, elder abuse, and fundraising efforts currently underway.
The mouthwatering smell of barbequed hot dogs and hamburgers drifted throughout the streets of Claresholm and drew in a large lunch crowd. Mother Nature held off her rain showers for the full duration of the barbeque, which allowed attendees to sit and enjoy the sunshine during their lunch hour.
All proceeds will be used to purchase much needed medical equipment for the Claresholm General Hospital, Willow Creek Continuing Care Center, Claresholm Centre for Mental Health & Addictions and Lander Treatment Centre.

Competition was fierce, but friendly and never stopped at the Stavely Community Hall on Saturday April 29th. The Foundation’s annual Banquet and Auction returned for the first time since 2019. The night proved to be a successful evening full of fun and laughter, raising over $16,000.
If attendees weren’t vying over the many live and silent auction items available, they had plenty of opportunity to try their hand at winning a game with the numerous board games strategically placed on each table throughout the hall.
The Stavely Elks, and Stavely Royal Purple served up a delicious roast beef dinner with apple pie for dessert.
As some wise auctioneers once said, “Money will do you no good where you’re going, you’d better spend it here today”.
