Blanche Hall was a founding board member of the Claresholm & District Health Foundation; known for her work in the community and a member of the Auxiliary to the Willow Creek Continuing Care Centre.
The Blanche Hall Memorial Bursary was established, by the foundation, in order to assist Alberta Health Services staff in Claresholm advance their educational preparation in health-related disciplines and to secure staff for future positions in health services. Each year, in April, local AHS employees are encouraged to apply by writing a letter to their facility mangers, who will then recommend an appropriate candidate(s) to the Claresholm & District Health Foundation. The letter would include a brief overview of why the applicant wishes to take the course, course content, objectives, start and end date of the course and cost.
The bursary amount may be awarded as a lump sum to one individual or shared between applicants based on candidate selection.
This year’s recipients were Jennifer Martin and Cassandra Navratil!
Jennifer is a full time Licensed Practical Nurse working with Claresholm & Vulcan Home Care, working to complete the BN program through Athabasca University.

Cassandra is a casual Mental Health Aide at the Claresholm Centre for Mental Health and Addictions. She entered into her final phase of her Practical Nursing diploma and completing her preceptorship in acute care/emergency at the Vulcan Community Health Centre.

We are honored to be caring on this bursary in memory of Blanche Hall.
